About me

Adolescense-2004: I started my ice hockey career six years old in Jäähonka Espoo. Following years I also played for Jokerit, HIFK, and GrankullaIFK. I spent two years in USA 2002-2004 studying and playing in Nashville and Michigan.

2004-2007: I started Bachelor studies for Sports and Management in Vierumäki Finland. During the summer times I played inline hockey, and was chosen even to a National team. I wanted to try ice hockey one more time and made a contract with Salamat, which played in Mestis in 2007. Season was short and then came trials for downhill skating national team – I was chosen!! Since that I have concentrated on downhill skating, coaching, and played ice hockey just for fun and fitness.

2007-2010: I worked as a physical education teacher in Mattlidens skola and coached junior ice hockey teams in Espoo and Kirkkonummi.  In 2009 I played bandy and won Finnish Championship.

2010-2011: I worked as a professional ice hockey coach in Montreal Canada. I also game power skating lessons to many teams. In 2011 I was lucky to have my first daughter, and moved back to Finland with my family.

Currently I coach as a private instructor. My customers are from Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Canada. They range from nine years old to NHL-players. Many of the players play in national teams also. I enjoy working with all the players no matter what level – seeing people learning and improving are my drivers.
